http://www.sacbee.com/opinion/story/1342108.html
"On Nov. 4, voters in Ward 2, which stretches from Folsom to Elk Grove, will choose among three candidates for the SMUD seat now held by Susan Patterson. The best choice in the race is Nancy Bui, an energy and technology consultant who is making her first run for office."
"SMUD needs strong directors who, while watching the bottom line, have the courage to make those long-term investments. Bui is the candidate who seems best ready to take on that task."

This has been the week of honored endorsements - Lt. Governor John Garamendi, Congresswoman Doris Matsui, Sacramento County Supervisor Don Nottoli and Vice Mayor of Galt Don Haines all came out in support of me this past week. SMUD races do not usually get the attention of Statewide officers or Congressional leaders, but the importance of this race has been elevated all the way to the top.Today, I met with Congresswoman Doris Matsui and was able to have a private meeting with her. I am deeply honored to have the support of our Congresswoman, Doris Matsui. Bob Matsui was a role model and inspiration to me. I truly respect and admire Congresswoman Matsui and am privileged to have her support. Sacramento County Supervisor Don Nottoli endorsement is very important to me because Supervisor Nottoli is a leader I would like to emulate. He spends his time traveling his large district, attends as many community events as possible and is constantly close to the pulse of our community. Supervisor Nottoli represents: Galt, Wilton, Herald, Isleton, Elk Grove, Rancho Murieta and Rancho Cordova. Ward 2 consists of: Galt, Wilton, Herald, parts of Elk Grove, Rancho Murieta, Rancho Cordova, Folsom and Gold River. Supervisor Nottoli represents the majority of Ward 2.I have always respected Lt. Governor John Garamendi. Garamendi has fought for California and the rights of our constituents for over 30 years. Having Lt. Governor Garamendi as a supporter is a great honor.I am also very pleased to have the recent endorsement of Don Haines, Vice Mayor of the City of Galt. This weekend was a highly successful weekend. I called Voters in Elk Grove, Walked Precincts in Galt, Folsom and Rancho Cordova. Over 1000 households were connected with this weekend!

I call/walk to voters and potential supporters every day. I feel the personal touch is the best approach. My endorsement list grows every day. I am proud to have over 40 elected leaders, community leaders and organizations supporting my race. October 8, 2008I am proud to receive the endorsement of the Organization of SMUD Employees (OSE). There are more than 2,000 SMUD employees that are part of OSE. SMUD Employees are the reason why SMUD is the #1 Utility in the country for Consumer Satisfaction.Sierra Club officially endorses me because they feel I am the candidate that will fight to protect and save our environment. September 29, 2008My Campaign is in FULL swing with both ground and fundraising efforts. Please join over 30 elected officials, the MAJORITY of the SMUD Board of Directors, and our community leaders in supporting me to ensure that SMUD continues to invest in reliable, clean, green, and cost effective energy.
